DNSpecter Your firewall to protect your DNS requests

DNS requests allow you to connect to websites and services without problems. Similarly to the way a dictionary is used, browsers and programs use DNS to find the IP addresses of servers. Unencrypted DNS requests allow your ISP or network provider to monitor, identify and sell details about your behaviors. Furthermore malware, ads or tracking make use of DNS resolving too; that is why DNSpecter identifies such requests, blocks and monitors them. Use the 'ask to resolve' feature to allow each host name manually. This is necessary when you want applications to use the internet without submitting telemetry data to the telemetry host. Our software solution works for all host addresses which the operating system still resolves, regardless of the hosts file. Modern operating systems sometimes ignore the regular hosts file in order to continue trying to resolve the manufacturer domain.
